Nicht nur das Essen war das Beste, das meine Frau und ich bisher in Medulin bekamen, sondern insbesondere auch der Service! Schnell, gedanklich bei der Sache, freundlich, aber doch mit der gewissen Würde/ dem gewissen Abstand zum Gast, sodass es nicht aufgesetzt wirkte. Meine Frau sagte, sie habe solche Raucharomen in einem deutschen Lokal noch nicht erlebt und der Weißwein schlage im Ort alle bisher servierten Weine um Welten. Auch für Familien geeignet, da preislich absolut in Ordnung und es für Kinder ein Highlight ist, in diesem Ambiente zu speisen.

We were in four and had a great dinner. We ordered main courses only, to leave some space for desserts, but I've tried appetizers and snacks before (5th visit now) - they are superb. We ordered black angus steak - perfectly done and juicy, black angus ribeye which was slightly overdone and they brought the replacement immediately with the waiter insisting to swap it - absolute top service! The other two dishes were marinated octopus with potato which was an absolute winner of the evening and very nicely made and tasty lamb skewers. Homemade ajvar you can eat without main dish, something like eating Nutella with a spoon, salads are also very good and mashed potato with garlic is a nice refreshement. Perfect dinner was overshadowed by amazing desserts. Cheesecake was something special, thank you chef!, and was a perfect combination with dulce de leche homemade ice cream. No less joy with the pralines as well, really tasty and recommended to chocolate lovers. Desserts are a bit more expensive (2€) than in other restaurants, but they really have a homemade touch and I am sick of having chocolate cake, lava cake, cheesecake that all taste the same and like from the supermarket or frozen - so the price really stands. I still remember the mousse combo I've had here two years ago, it was very authentic and delicious. House wine was pretty good and reasonobly priced. Service was fast and on schedule despite the terrace was full. Conclusion: you will pay a bit more, get a lot more, decent portions, barbecue king in southern Istria and authentic desserts as well as the rest of the menu. Professional staff, clean, desinfection available, covid measures respected, but still service friendly enough to forget about the stressful year so far.Keep up the good work and see you again!

Il servizio è cortese ed efficiente, e i prezzi sono sicuramente competitivi tenendo conto sia della quantità, sia della qualità del cibo.In certi orari, senza prenotazione si rischia di aspettare in coda.

Large outdoor restaurant, very busy, heavy traffic outside, loud and hyped. I enjoyed amazing steak, salad and dessert. The food was fantastic. Nice selection of local wines. What I didn't particularly enjoy was the heat, the smoke from the open fire BBQ and the stressed atmosphere, so it was a one time visit for us.

We found this restaurant on their opening night. Too often a restaurant has a few wrinkles to sort out when they first open but not so with Salt & Pepper. Service was relaxed and friendly, food was excellent. Istria's tourist menu is a bit same old same old but S&P offer Aberdeen Angus and Waygu beef, pulled pork and a good range of seafood dishes. Throw in a good range of vegetables and sweet potato mash and you've got a real and good quality departure from the norm.
